『Remembrance Day』是英國人用來紀念第一次世界大戰結束的日子，同時悼念在戰爭中死去的國民。
英國人非常重視『Remembrance Day』，在踏入每年的11月份，英國商店到處擺放由Royal British Legion出售的Poppy襟花，籌到所得的款項用作支持現役軍人。

每年的11月11日 和 最近的星期日，大部分商店會在上午11時暫停工作，默哀2分鐘。在默哀期間，所有人都會停止所有活動和工作，安靜地進行默哀。
所以初到英國的各位，在這2分鐘，務必嚴肅起來不要說話和做任何小動作，以表示對英國人的尊重！
