Holy Island（譯名：聖島）是位於英格蘭東北部的潮汐島。
**解說：潮汐島為島嶼的一種，這種島嶼的底部與陸地相連，在水位較低時，可直接由（通常為狹窄的）陸路前往，但漲潮時由於海水將較低處淹沒，便成為島嶼。
隨著暑假到來， 而英國疫情又反反覆覆，小編決定只是帶小朋友到附近遊山玩水，順道為大家介紹一個非常值得一去的小島 – 聖島（Holy Island）。這小島離Newcastle其實頗近（只須大概一個半小時車程），所以居住在Newcastle差不多20年，都從來無考慮去參觀下。經過今次後，覺得它是個可以常去的好地方！
Holy Island特別之處是經過一條直線公路來連接英格蘭大陸，然而這條公路每天都在跟海平面一比高低。當水位一漲，整條公路都會消失不見，由此也切斷了進出島嶼的唯一通道，更精彩的是有些司機竟膽敢挑戰大自然而陷入困境。所以小編建議大家每次去之前都要查詢安全時間表。漲潮期間約2小時，漲滿之後有3小時，也就是每天約有5小時的時間，聖島是與世隔絕的孤島。
當你安全進入聖島後，只要跟從指示牌便可持到停車場，因為島上好多地方禁止行車，所以把停好車走路會更方便。收費也非常合理，不是按每小時。

島上另外一個特色景點就是這座著名的『Lindisfarne教堂』。於盎格魯-撒克遜時期，教堂作為基督教的傳教聖地，很多著名基督教傳教士都曾經到此傳教， 亦因此島嶼被命名為聖島。以木為結構的這座宏偉教堂曾經被洗劫，在維京時期更被破毀。後來到諾曼人統治時期再被重建轉變為石頭結構。至今已經成為英國一級保護建築。

這次行程比較短暫，由於趕緊潮漲前離開，所以只逗留了兩個小時，因此很多地方未有機會探訪。各位如想逗留更長時間，可以預約島上的酒店留宿一晚。
海邊有一大片石塊地，很多遊客把石頭砌成石柱，極具特色！
