還有不足一星期便是聖誕節，在這裡簡單的提醒大家要注意的事情，等大家可以過一個既開心又安心的聖誕節。
所有超級市場25號全線關門，26號重開
商店在聖誕節關門是英國一直以來的傳統，所以在23、24號購買食物過節的人特別多。聖誕前夕的超級市場內好像打仗一樣，很容易發生爭執同時也會購買不到需要的東西。Emily 建議大家到超市預購食物(在23或24號提貨）或使用網上購物服務（直接送到家門）。
反正26號重開，不用緊張吧？！那你錯了，雖然26號重新營業，但物流送貨仍然放假休息，所以一般在超市售賣的貨品是24號剩下的，通常像麵包、雞蛋、新鮮肉類都沒有，所以還是預先準備好吧！
GP/藥房關門
聖誕節是普天同慶的開心日子，但不能掉以輕心，家裡的藥品必須準備充足，例如：止痛藥、退燒藥、小孩退燒藥、藥水膠布等。
長期服藥者請提前至少3天到GP拿藥單並儘快到藥房拿藥。
如有任何身體不適，可撥打『111』NHS緊急資詢號碼（免費號碼），此號碼會由當值醫生或護士接聽。如情況較嚴重者，可撥打『999』或可直接到附近醫院的急診室（A&E），同樣24小時開放服務。
收垃圾的日子
緊記留意一下收垃圾的日子，由於公眾假期變多，收垃圾的日期也許會提前或延遲。
各位可以到市政府網站查詢，或留意一下左鄰右里什麼時候拉垃圾桶出去，便跟著做！
車輛入滿油
全英國的陸上交通工具將會在聖誕節25號和26號暫停服務，市民只能依靠計程車或私家車輛出入。而油站一般都會關門，如果打算出外的話，建議預早入滿油。
聖誕節大減價
網上商店的興起，讓聖誕大減價也起了變化。在聖誕節大概5天前（20號左右），各商店便開始在網店進行減價，而實體店在26號正式開門時開始。
12月26日第一輪減價，一般大概5至7折（30%-50% off)。而第二輪減價在12月31日或1月1日開始 大既2至5折 （50%-70% off)
