蘇格蘭Glasgow市議會正通過撥款，為當地人提供免費乘搭公共交通工具，包括巴士、地鐵和火車，望有助於減少城市的不平等 和 進一步推動零碳排放。現階段仍在進行試驗，將會抽出1000名年齡介乎22歲至50歲的幸運兒，在為期9週的試驗期內隨意使用市內的公共交通工具。有份參與試驗的人將獲發一張旅遊卡，可使用在Zone 1和Zone 2的公共交通工具。
若試驗能並成功推行，相信在不久的將來英國其他城市在公共交通工具上將會來一次大改革！
