今天下午12:30， 英國財政大臣傑里米·亨特 (Jeremy Hunt) 發表他任職後的第一份預算案。這次預算的核心是想解決就業問題並且對兒童保育和養老金做出重大改變。以下為大家概括的說明一下內容：
延長能源補貼資助
在英格蘭、威爾士和蘇格蘭，對能源法案再延期三個月。 根據能源法案，政府將繼續保持能源價格限制在每年 £2,500，將持續至2023年6月底。政府也會對以下民眾提供額外輔助：
- 向正在領取福利的家庭提供 £900 —— 分別在 2023年春季、秋季和2024年春季分三期支付
- 向正在領取養老金的家庭提供 £300
- 向領取某些殘疾福利的人支付 £150
兒童保育費用折扣
現時，在職父母可為3歲和4歲的孩子申請並享受每週30小時免費托兒服務。在最新的預算案內，將這項福利擴展到更加年幼的英格蘭兒童。而威爾士，蘇格蘭和北愛爾蘭當局，將可獲得同等資金來資助當地的在職父母。
這項福利措施將會分以下階段推出：
- 2024年4月開始就會為兩歲兒童提供15小時免費托兒服務
- 2024年9月開始就會為9個月以上兒童提供15小時免費托兒服務
- 2025年9月開始就會為所有兒童提供30小時免費托兒服務
另外，如果已經領取政府福利（Universal Credit）的家庭，將會獲得政府預付的兒童保育資金，家長們再無須先自己預先支付再索回。最高的資助金額由以前每名小童的 £646 提升為 £951（兩個孩子則最高可以獲得£1630英鎊）。
政府會繼續為學齡兒童提供課前課後托管服務提供資助。
養老金變化將推遲退休年齡
由2023年4月起開始，取消養老金儲蓄終身免稅限額。退休人士可以繼續享受退休津貼，津貼額度從 £40,000升到 £60,000（已經9年沒改變了）。如果退休人士想存錢的話可以享受一年 £10,000的免稅津貼（之前只有 £4,000英鎊）。
殘疾福利改革
目前，殘疾人士必須完成工作能力評估才能獲得全額福利。這一項規定將被廢除，福利待遇將與個人的工作能力分開，這一項決定也被視為這次重大作改革的一部分。未來將只有一種健康和殘疾評估，那就是個人獨立支付 (Personal Independent Payment) 評估。
再次凍結燃油稅
燃油稅是車主在購買汽油和柴油等燃料時繳納的稅款。宣布之前，政府有預定燃油稅的上漲會導致汽油和柴油價格每升上漲 12p。今天宣布它再次被凍結。再加上之前發布的 5p 降價將持續多一年。以上這些將花費財政部 £60 億英鎊。
香煙和酒精稅
酒精稅將於 2023年8月初上調，屆時將引入新的酒精稅計算系統。煙草稅也會隨之增加。
個人入息稅

商業和貿易

- 9億英鎊用於新的超級計算機設施，以幫助英國的人工智能產業
