Home Office 內政部剛剛在1月30日發表24/25年簽證的新規定，並定下確實的實施日期。新簽證政策有以下5大重點變動：
1. 工作簽證門檻
從4月4日起開始，技術性工作簽證（Skilled Worker visa）的最低門檻從 £26,200 提升至 £38,700。Health & Care Worker visa 衛生和護理簽證、Social care 社工行業 或 Education workers 教育行業將不受影響。
2. 配偶簽證門檻
從4月11日起開始，配偶簽證（Spouse/partner visa）的門檻由最低 £18,600 提高至 £29,000，並計劃將在下年度提高至£38,700。
3. 禁止社工攜帶受養人
從3月11日起開始，持簽證並從事 Social care workers 社會福利工作者的人士，將不獲發dependants visa（這包括伴侶和孩子）
4. 短缺職業的列表
從4月份起（暫定4月4日），更改短缺職業的列表，可資助的短缺職業數量減少，而原先的80%低門檻的薪資要求將被廢除。新的職業名單和工資門檻將會在稍後公佈。
5. 畢業生簽證
The Migration Advisory Committee 移民諮詢委員正在進行審查『Graduate visa 畢業生簽證』並將在2024年尾作出適當的變動。
其他變動
- 海外學生將不獲發受養人簽證
- 由24年1月份起，內政部取消對海外學生所獲發的受養人簽證
- 讀研究生研究課程（postgraduate research programme）的學生除外
- 海外學生不能直接轉簽工作簽證
- 由24年1月17日，海外學生將不能在完成整個大學課程前，直接轉簽工作簽證
- IHS境內健康附加費上升
- 將由24年2月6日起增加IHS境內健康附加費（可參考以下列表）
