蘇格蘭的「免費乘搭巴士」計劃的日期已經落實。由明年1月31日起，所有22歲以下的蘇格蘭居民將可免費乘搭巴士，估計將會有93萬人受惠。
原先政府打算在今年起，向19歲以下人士提供免費巴士乘搭服務，但COVID-19 瘟疫蔓延，加上製作乘車卡的矽膠短缺，因而延期。但這次延期，反而令歲數的上限提升，令更多人受惠。
居住蘇格蘭「著數」多
由於蘇格蘭政府經濟獨立，獲得的稅收只管花在本土的項目上。在財政預算充足下，他們不停推出免費服務，令居住在蘇格蘭的人可以擁有更優質的生活水平，從而安居樂業。
除了剛才提到的「免費乘搭巴士」計劃外，蘇格蘭居民還可以獲得以下的免費服務：
- 免大學學費
- 免處方藥物費用
- 免費初生嬰兒用品
- 長者免看護費用
- 牙科服務免費
- 學童免費午餐
- 女性免費衛生巾
免大學學費 Free University
居住在蘇格蘭3年以上的居民，便可獲資格申請蘇格蘭4年大學課程的學費減免，免卻學費£9,250（每年）。
蘇格蘭以外的學生，假如想到蘇格蘭讀大學，也可申請助學金『 Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) 』，每年可獲在學費上的資助£1,820。
免處方藥物費用 Free prescriptions
早於2011年起，蘇格蘭已跟隨威爾斯和北愛爾蘭的步伐，免卻居民NHS處方的藥物費用。
現時全英國只剩下英格蘭仍向居民收取處方藥物費（每份£9.15）。
免費初生嬰兒盒 Scotland baby box
在英國生小朋友時，都有很多不同團體送出初生嬰兒用品給媽媽，一般為尿片、嬰兒潤膚乳液的試用裝。這個由蘇格蘭政府送出的，是我看過最大份的免費贈品。
盒內有一整盒初生嬰兒所須的用品，包括：嬰兒衣服、外套、測水溫器、浴巾、領取尿片的禮券、被子⋯⋯等等，共33件物品在這盒子裏，而這箱子還可用作嬰兒的小床（內附一張軟墊）。
領取方法：你的Midwife（助產仕）會在20週 或 28週產檢時，向你提供領取表格。
長者免費看護 Free personal care
由2002年起，所有蘇格蘭居民年滿65歲，便可申請政府撥款，免費提供個人護理服務。更在2019年，全面開放給任何年齡和收入的蘇格蘭居民，只要你被政府部門確認你有使用個人護理服務的需要，便可申請。非個人形式的護理服務，也是同樣免費。
免費的個人護理服務包括：
- 保持個人衛生清潔
- 照顧每天三餐
- 照顧行動不便
- 服用藥物
- 一般健康

免費牙科和眼科服務 Free NHS Dental Treatment & Optical Voucher
當英格蘭居民過了16歲後，便開始自行支付牙醫服務和配眼鏡費用時，蘇格蘭的年青人真的幸福多了!
因為蘇格蘭的年輕居民能獲免費牙科和眼科服務，只要你是介乎16至18歲 或 你是全日制的學生，你便合資格。
免費牙科服務：一般定期檢查和清洗
免費眼科服務：驗眼和配眼鏡（或隱形眼鏡）服務
學童免費午餐 Universal free school meals
全英國的年幼學童（英格蘭：Reception, Y1, Y2 ; 蘇格蘭：P1, P2, P3），均可獲得學校提供的免費午餐。當中沒有任何條件限制，只要在公立學校上學便合資格。
而蘇格蘭將合資格的年齡提升，由原本的 P1, P2 和 P3 延伸至 P4 和 P5，並打算繼續延伸至整個小學，計劃在今年9月開學時，提供免費午餐給全蘇格蘭的小學生（由P1至P7 年班均免費） 。
女性免費衛生巾 Free sanitary products
蘇格蘭成為全球首個國家向女性居民提供免費衛生巾，除了在學校、學院和大學內派發之外，還在多個公眾地點提供，例如：圖書館、Leisure centres社區中心等 ，都可免費獲取衛生巾。這次計劃只和『Always』合作，因此未有其他品牌選擇。

你好貝文，蘇格蘭居民指在蘇格蘭居住，並不規限於永久居留或者入左籍的。不過照報導理解，呢個計畫係屬於National Entitlement Card，至於點申請同有什麼要求你可以按這裡了解詳情。
