英國脫歐雖然給予歐洲人選擇留英生活，但很多歐洲工人仍選擇離開英國，返回家鄉。首年進入脫歐狀態的英國，面對工人短缺危機，企業只好以高價聘請本地人工作。
就好像上月，9月15日『T H Clements and Son Ltd』 農場（位於Lincolnshire）在他們的Facebook 頁內，發出招人廣告，以最高£30的時薪聘請工人（相信£30是夜間/OT時薪）來收割西蘭花，成為熱話。
但在兩星期後（9月28日）再出文，表示多謝各位熱烈的支持，他們已經聘用了足夠的人數，由於申請人過多而未能逐一回覆，因此透過Facebook公佈。再透露，他們仍在聘請其他崗位。
本地人難聘請
礙於工資低（過往只有最低工資，25歲以上時薪為£8.91），位置較遠（距離市區）必須有汽車代步，還有需要長時間的體力勞動，所以如非必要，本地人都不願意去農場工作。但今次的招聘活動，正顯示出本地人是極需要找工作，只要薪金吸引，本地人還是願意投身行業。
School Hours工作時段
『T H Clements and Son Ltd』7月份在公司網頁內廣告聘請 School Hours 工人 09:00 至 14:45，吸引那些家中有小孩照顧的家長投身行業。
