政府在今天12月15日星期三的清晨4時，移取了紅色列表內的所有國家。當中一共有11個國家，包括：Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia 和 Zimbabwe。所以現時紅色列表內是沒有任何國家。
衛生局長表示，新變種病毒Omicron已迅速擴散至全球其他國家，對於限制之前列為紅色的國家已變得沒有義意，因此決定移除。
綠和黃色早在10月被廢除
今年5月，政府設立了traffic light system for travel 紅黃綠旅遊系統，提供清晰的入境指引，釐定各國在入境前後的檢測 和 隔離標準。但在10月份，政府把綠色和黃色系統廢除，更改為區分於已完成疫苗或未完成疫苗的入境要求。
政府今次把紅色列表內的國家完全移除，即表示任何國家進入英國時，將根據是否已完成疫苗來區分做法：
