英國市民正面對生活成本危機（the cost of living crisis），Eastbourne成為首個進入『生活成本緊急狀態』的城市，並向英格蘭政府發出緊急動議（關於動議可瀏覽另一則文章），但政府仍未有任何回應。4月份，ASDA 和Morrisons 都表示將食物的價格降低，原因是生活成本危機，令大量顧客轉向Aldi 和 Lidl購買食物，望透過減價搶回流失的顧客。
Asda 推出購物折扣
今個月Asda 再次出招，給予折扣優惠予所有NHS、緊急服務、社工服務、社會服務和軍事服務的人員。只要你是工作於以上機構，均可在英國所有的Asda門店享用 9折優惠（10% off）。這個優惠不但適用於食物和雜貨，還可以用於購買衣物、家居用品、玩具 等。想獲得折扣，必須在收銀處出示有效的 Blue Light Card，Asda的職員將會為你打折。
ASDA的新入職員工
ASDA的新入職員工，一般必須完成通過12星期的試用期，才能真正享用員工的福利，這包括員工9折優惠。為了進一步支持員工渡過這艱難的時期，ASDA將暫停這員工條文至22年10月，這表示在未來數月內入職的員工，即使仍在試用期間，仍可享受員工的9折優惠。
Iceland為長者送暖，滿60可獲9折
除了Asda，主要銷售急凍食品的Iceland，亦宣佈向年滿60歲的長者提供9折優惠（10% off），幫助長者為他們送暖。因此所有長者顧客只要能出示有效的文件來證明自己已年滿60歲，便可獲得此折扣。優惠由5月24日起開始，可使用在Iceland 和 其下的子公司 The Food Warehouse內，但折扣優惠只限於每星期二提供，各位要注意！
