為了阻止境內的病毒蔓延，英國政府限制市民出外，現時限於四種情況下才可出外：
- 特別工種 (Key workers)的員工出外上班
- 購買生活必需品
- 每天一次的運動時間
- 領取藥物
除此之外，當中一些細節可能被人忽視，而因此被拘捕和罰款：
出外要保持人與人之間的社交距離
所謂社交距離，不只是朋友或親人之間的接觸，同時亦包含了人與人之間在社區內的活動接觸。即使你在排隊、等車、坐車、還是在路上行走，都必須與其他人保持至少2米距離。假設你違規從而令他人感到不安，警察可對你作出拘捕和罰款。
每個家庭只准一人出外購買必需品
可能你認為帶著小孩或家人到超市購物，可以順道讓家人出外走動輕鬆一下，但這樣你可能已經違法。跟據英國首相的指示，每個家庭只限一人出外購物 (必需品)，小孩理應留在家中讓家中其他成員看管。假設你是單親父或母，因無人看管小孩的情況，可視作例外。
青少年 (小孩) 在街上遊蕩，家長會被檢控
假設你的小孩 (即是未滿18歲人士) 在街上遊蕩，甚至和朋友結集在一起，該小孩的父母即屬違法。根據英國政府指示，父母須要管束好小孩的活動，不應讓他們出外遊走甚至結集。假使小孩要出外散步，亦應由父母倍同。
放狗/散步/做運動 只限於住所附近的街道
即使你和你家人或寵物已習慣開車到其他地方放狗、散步或做運動，這時候還是需要改變一下。因為禁令條例中『每天一次的運動時間』只限於住所附近的街道進行，假設你開車到其他地方活動，便已經觸犯法例。
商店不能抬價
如果各下是雜貨店老闆，就要注意以下事項：根據新型冠狀病毒制定的最新規例，貨品不能因需求量增加而抬價，從中獲利。而作為顧客的你，假使你在商店內發現亦不應盲目地購買。
＊以上所有事項，都必須遵守，違法者將被拘捕和罰款£60。
其次作為英國公民，大家到超市購物時也有須要遵守的事項，以幫助疫情減低：
- 身體出現病毒徵狀，請不要外出或進入超市商店
- 與店內途人保持2米距離
- 跟從店內劃位指引，與收銀員保持店內提供的指示位置距離
- 如沒有購買該商品的想法，請不要隨意接摸，以減低傳染病毒的可能性
- 減少使用現金，在許可的情況下盡量使用信用卡 Contactless 或 手機App 付款
