隨著Covid病毒的發展，英國使用現金的人越來越少，令現金支付的方式逐漸被淘汰。其中一直以硬幣為主要付款方式的停車場，就已經成功轉型，全部加入手機App付款功能。使用App不用準備硬幣，更再也無須擔心時間夠了被『罰款抄牌』。但近月，有騙徒就是利用停車場的手機App來偷取個人資料和金錢。
PayByPhone App
全球停車付款的手機應用程式 PayByPhone在英國大部分的停車場通行，在沒有硬幣的情況下亦只好使用PayByPhone，而騙徒就正正利用這點，使用偽造的QR code在停車場內張貼，表示QR code可以『quick pay快速付款』 完成停車場的付款程序，張貼位置在付款機旁， 因此很多人上當。
近月這類騙案急升的 Isle of Wight Council警告民眾不要相信這些『快速付款』的QR code，因為他們通過QR code帶你進入偽造的PayByPhone網頁，並引導你提供和填寫個人和信用卡資料。
所以為避免自己成為下一名的受害者，就必須儘快下載正式的PayByPhone，當有需要使用時，無須擔心被騙。
