因全球病毒擴散，『Contactless』成為了商店與顧客之間的重要角色，無須接觸數字鍵盤（輸入密碼），把銀行卡輕觸在刷卡機上，便可付款走人，避免交叉感染。因此在2020年4月起（英國瘟疫爆發初期）由原本的支付上限£30提升至£45，方便顧客購物。
可惜直至今天，在全民接種疫苗的情況下，英國的確診病例仍然每天破萬。在今年年頭，財政和金融行為監管局提議把付款上限提升至£100。經過與銀行和企業一輪磋商後，終於達成共識，並決定在10月15日起把現時的上限£45再次提升，改為£100， 為快將來臨的『聖誕購物月』作好準備。
如何避免信用卡被盜用？
『£100』上限的Contactless付款，真的可以為顧客帶來很多的方便，但同時亦為盗賊開了一道方便之門。
假如不幸地被偷去或遺失了錢包，起不是任由盗賊花銀行卡內的錢！
使用Apple Pay 或 Google Pay：
那麼你應該開始使用Apple Pay 或 Google Pay 等支付平台。把銀行卡輸入到 Apple / Google pay 內，當你需要付款時打開手機app，輕觸在刷卡機上，便可付款。這些第三方平台較安全的原因是，必須經過開機進入手機App方可使用『免接觸』付款。就此可以收起錢包內的銀行卡、信用卡，不怕遺失後被盗款。
立即通知銀行：
如無法使用手機付款，而銀行卡遺失了，理應立即通知銀行。只要依照報失程序，銀行一般會對於不合理的消費款項取消，以彌補顧客的損失。
