每年一到農業收成期，農場便需要大量人手採摘，尤其是水果，用機器採摘會很容易弄壞水果表面，令出售的數量和價格變差，所以全英國每年所需的採摘員人數有超過50萬名。這類季節性的臨時工作，無須工作經驗、無須查看DBS（良民紀錄），還可以即時上班，非常適合剛移民到英國的各位，解決短期內的經濟問題。
英國的農產品收成的月份
英國農產品的收成時間表如下：

收成一般由6月份開始，所以一般在5月份已開始登廣告招人。雖然現時已踏入7月份，但仍未太遲，在招聘市場上仍出現大量採摘員的招聘廣告。大家可以到 Indeed 這類大型中介公司輸入fruit picker便可找尋得到。
工資分為日間和夜間，日間時薪在£9.50 – £10（OT時薪超過£11），假如農場趕著收割，便需要連夜開工，通常夜間時薪會是日間的1.5 – 2倍的價格，大概£15 – £20。
