每年的9月8日至9月17日是英國的文化遺產開放日，為慶祝這個日子，Heritage Open days都會舉辦與文化遺產相關的活動。今年提供了一項非常特別的活動 – 『免費乘搭古董巴士』遊覽各城市。
免費乘搭古董巴士
不同的城市的古董巴士的營運時間和路線不同，無須預約或購票。
以下是各個城市的活動資料：
- Greater London 倫敦
- 乘搭 1912年 的 London bus route 38
- 9月16日星期六，上午10點至下午5點
- 每10分鐘一班次，路線由 Victoria 駛至 Hackney Station
- Greater Manchester 曼徹斯特
- 乘搭由交通博物館提供的巴士
- 9月9日、10日、16日和17日，上午10點至下午4點
- 每小時一班次，由Museum of Transport出發，沿途有Manchester Jewish Museum、Science & Industry Museum 和 the People’s History Museum可上落站
- 16歲以下人士必須由成人陪同乘搭
- Winchester 溫徹斯特
- 乘搭由the Friends of King Alfred Buses (FoKAB)珍藏的古董巴士
- 9月10日星期日，上午9點至下午5點
- 每小時五個班次，由Winchester St Catherine’s Park & Ride出發
- Oxford 牛津
- 乘搭1950年至1960年份的古董巴士
- 9月3日和17日星期日，上午12點15分至下午2點15分
- 由Oxford Bus Museum出發
- Pulborough, West Sussex 普爾伯勒
- 乘搭1954年的古董巴士
- 9月9日、10日，上午11點至下午4點
- 由市中心出發（詳情請向Tourist Information Centres查詢）
- Leicester 萊斯特
- 乘搭1950年份的雙層巴士
- 9月10日星期日，上午10點至下午4點
- 由Stoneygate Tram Depot出發，環遊20分鐘後返回Depot
- Norfolk 諾福克
- 9月10日星期日，上午10點至下午4點35分
- 由King’s Lynn出發
- Northampton 北安普頓
- 9月9日、10日，上午9點半至下午5點
- 由市中心出發（All Saints Church附近）
- Lowestoft, Suffolk 洛斯托夫特
- 9月9日星期六，上午11點至下午5點
- 由Transport Museum出發
- Sunderland 桑德蘭
- 9月9日星期六，上午10點至下午4點
- 由Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens出發，途經Hylton Castle、Ryhope Engines Museum、Washington F Pit Museum和 Bowes Railway Museum 等地點
- Rugby 拉格比
- 9月12日星期二，只提供上午11點 和下午 2點，共兩個班次
- 由Rugby Art Gallery & Museum出發，遊覽Hillmorton 和 Houlton（大約1小時的旅程）
