近日，一個位於倫敦東面的新發展住宅建築項目，被發現建築物中存有潛在結構問題，因此需要清拆和重建。主角是之前提及要大家小心的住宅建築發展商 – Taylor Wimpey。
清拆和重建
這項目位於Hackney Wick 的 Monier Road，附近有Queen Elizabeth Olympic 公園和West Ham United’s London 體育館在旁邊，在2019年獲得市政府的Planning permission在該處發展。項目內容主要是興建1幢7層高的樓宇，總數148個住宅用途的單位，還有其他部份的低層樓宇是商用的辦公室。這些已建好了一半的樓宇都需要全部拆除和重建。
未能如期推出
原定於去年推出，因此多次停工，令樓宇未能如期完成。現在還要拆除和重建，相信會將會延遲一段很長時間才能完成。但在網上仍能看到他們發售該處的樓盤，價格為 1房單位£469,000 和 2房單位 £595,000。
Taylor Wimpey的發言
Taylor Wimpey 的一位發言人說：“根據這項目的早期施工階段的一些例行檢查中，發現樓宇有潛在的結構問題，因此決定拆除現有的混凝土並且重建。健康和安全是我們的首要任務，與各個結構工程師深入研究向討論後作出這決定。我們目前與當地居民和企業就我們的建議進行溝通，並儘快安排拆除的事宜和時間表。”
拆除或需要Planning permission
另外，London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) 亦正在與Taylor Wimpey討論，以確定拆除和重建是否需要Planning permission。還有Tower Hamlets Council 已到該地點檢查，需要與開發商討論拆除建築物的計劃，確保工作安全。相信買了樓花的各位，收樓期將會遙遙無期。
