在過去一星期，英格蘭政府將整個倫敦、部分Essex 和 Hertfordshire 的城鎮升為第三級抗疫指標後，今日正式宣布其他城鎮抗疫指標的變化。
基本上，大部分的Tier 3 城市都依然繼續保持第3級的狀態，只有3個城市能降級，Bristol 和 North Somerset 將可以由第3級降低至第2級，而 Herefordshire 更可以由第2級降低至第1級。而原本屬第2級的東部和西南地區，將會升級為Tier 3， 它們分別是：
- Bedford
- Central Bedfordshire
- Luton
- Milton Keynes
- Buckinghamshire
- Reading
- Wokingham
- Bracknell Forest
- Windsor 和 Maidenhead
- West Berkshire
- Peterborough
- 其餘屬於 Hertfordshire 地區但仍未進入Tier 3的城市 ：Dacorum、East Hertfordshire、North Hertfordshire、St Albans、Stevenage 和 Welwyn Hatfield
- Surrey (Waverley除外)
- Hastings 和 Rother
- Portsmouth
- Havant
- Gosport
**以上的地區城鎮將會在星期六，12月19日00:01起開始實施第三級抗疫限制。
聖誕節聚餐的限制
英格蘭將給予居民在12月23日至27日期間，不論居住的城市是甚麼級別，一律可以有限度地與家人和朋友在家中見面和聚餐。以下是各地方政府設定的限制：
| 英格蘭 England | 在12月23日至27日期間，可以 – 進行最多3個家庭的家居聚餐。 – 往來不同城市進行居家或戶外探訪。 – 以上的寬限不適用於在餐廳或酒吧。 |
| 蘇格蘭 Scotland | 蘇格蘭政府並未就聖誕節進行任何限制，只建議： – 與同住的人家居聚餐。 – 戶外聚會和探訪。 – 有限度地與家人或朋友在室內聚會，並盡量選擇在同一天完成。 – 不要過夜。 |
| 威爾斯 Wales | – 在12月23日至27日期間，可以進行最多2個家庭的家居聚餐＋1位獨居人士（將會立法例和嚴格執行）。 – 將會在 12月25日 下午6時開始進行封鎖，健身室和非必需品商店將會在12月24日關門後，停止營業。 – 12月28日起，威爾斯居民將要留在家中和強制禁止不必要的行程。 |
