大概一星期前，Emily 才寫了篇「新型冠狀病毒英國確診病例9個中，有8個已出院」的文章。一轉眼，英國的確診人數突然增加至87人（截至3月4日）。有英國傳媒報導，這次爆發是跟意大利的大幅感染有關。當中有不少英國人在2月的Half Term 假期時到意大利旅遊，因此把病毒帶回英國。
英國首相在3月4日見記者時交代確診人數和相對措施時，他在會上表示認為既然病毒已帶到英國內，封關封城已經沒必要的。他還表示政府每日只會公報確診數字，確診病人的地點位置只會每星期公佈一次。現時一共87人確診，其中有34人被發現確診時的位置仍然是不明的。
Emily認為，英國首相有此舉動（拒絕封關封城）是為了保障英國經濟保持穩定。此外因爲近日的搶購米、Pasta、廁紙、消毒用品等舉動，讓政府不願意把確診病人的位置公開來減低恐慌。但以上的因素和決定我本人並不欣賞，作為英國領導應要以居民的安全和健康為首要考慮因素。其個人主義的行為絕對可以跟香港特區政府首長較勁，我們市民唯有自求多福。
