全新的E10無鉛汽油將在今日起取替原先的E5無鉛汽油被全面使用。這款新汽油是由10% 的bioethanol（可再生燃料）製成，有效減低汽車的碳排放量。北愛爾蘭亦宣佈，將會在2022年初起改用E10無鉛汽油
如何得知什麼汽車適合改用E10汽油嗎？
運輸處表示，現時市面上95%的汽車都適合直接改用E10汽油，與新燃料不兼容的主要是舊型號汽車（一般為經典汽車或2000年前出產的汽車）。
政府亦開放官方網站平台給車主們查看，看各下的汽車是否兼容E10汽油：

或 大家亦可以查看自己的汽車Log book了解。
什麼汽車不適合E10?
除了2000年前的舊款汽車不適用E10汽油外，根據RAC Foundation 資料顯示，還有以下10款在2020年註冊的車型與E10是不兼容的（括號內是市面上的汽車數量）：

使用不適合的汽油會怎樣？
假如你的汽車是不適合使用E10汽油，而你不小心錯入新款汽油，不用太擔心！E10不會像柴油(diesel)般直接傷害汽車，但如果持續性的錯用E10汽油，還是會對汽車帶來一定性的影響和傷害。
汽車不適合E10汽油，怎麼辦？
現時市面上行走的汽車中，有7萬架是不適用E10汽油的，這些汽車將需要改用Super unleaded E5 petrol（超級E5無鉛汽油）。這款汽油價格較高，以一架家庭車輛計算，一55公升的汽油，將會比以往花多平均£6.60。
