根據英國傳媒Express報導，一名抗癌11年的病人，癌症細胞曾5次復發，在絕望的情況下，決定大膽嘗試，成為首位病人采用『癌症疫苗』來延長生命。

這名癌症病人是一個5名孩子的爸爸，他在2011年首次發現頭部出現癌細胞，經過面部手術切除癌細胞後，以為5年內沒有復發，可惜最終在2016年首次復發，康復後接著在2019年再次復發，然後在2021年更2度復發。因此把希望放在這個還未被推出市面使用的『癌症疫苗』！

癌症疫苗

這次研究項目的療程，主要針對測試『癌症疫苗』對消除頭部和頸部的癌細胞，這包括：咽喉癌、頸癌、口腔癌和舌癌。研究所度身訂造配合病人的DNA的『癌症疫苗』，通過注射疫苗，讓身體學懂自行來增強免疫系統，訓練抗體來抵抗癌細胞，就好像一般流感疫苗。

當身體能自行產生抗體來抵抗癌細胞時，便可將癌細胞復發的機率減至最低。

根據Cancer UK的數據顯示，每年有大概12500發現患有頭癌和頸癌，而每年的死亡人數是4000人。假如這個『癌症疫苗』能成功的話，將會是人類在抗癌歷史上的里程碑。
