早前首相在記者會上發表一連串『解封日』的計劃，計劃當中提及對完成疫苗注射人士進行豁免。終於今日運輸局局長Grant Shapps在會議上，講解更多有關此事項的運作。
政府決定開通豁免條件，由7月19日起已完成疫苗注射（已接種2針）的人士，將被豁免由黃色國家入境後的10天居家隔離，未滿18歲者同樣獲得豁免。但現時此計劃只受惠於英國居民，居住在英國以外的（黃色國家）旅客，在進入英國後仍須進行居家隔離。
Mr Shapps表示英國居民可暢通無阻地到大部分歐洲國家旅遊和探親，但據悉政府只承認NHS App 或 由NHS發出的證明，才可獲得豁免。雖然如此，他表示這只是『Phase one 第一階段』，只要解決如何認證外國接種證明等問題，在不久將來外國接種的也同樣可被豁免。
何謂英國居民？
英國居民包括：
- 英國國民 （British Nationality)
- 持無限期居留（Indefinite leave to remain）
- 持有有效的英國居住簽證 (Valid UK visa)，例如：BNO簽證、Tier 4 學生簽證、Tier 2工作簽證 等
被列為黃色的國家 Amber list countries
