香港政府由去年12月起開始限制曾到過英國的人入境香港，即使是香港居民也同樣，因此大量香港人被迫滯留在英國，有家歸不得。
經過4個月的封鎖，食物及衞生局局長陳肇始在一星期前提及過，將會與航空公司相討，安排身處英國的香港居民，乘搭指定航班由英國返港，返港後集中在指定酒店隔離21日。終於，國泰航空公佈特別航班的消息，將會在4月8日英國夏令時間9點正，開始接受返港的機位預約。共兩個由倫敦希斯路機場起飛的航班可選擇，資料如下：

預約前須知：
你將需要提供在離境前72小時內的 COVID-19 核酸檢測 (RT-PCR test) **注意其他檢測方式絕不接納。當抵達香港後，你將需要在指定酒店進行21晚的隔離，該酒店是位於青衣的華逸酒店（Rambler Garden Hotel ）。預訂機位後，你將會收到華逸酒店的特別預約網址，來進行酒店預約。
