英國醫學組織(BMA) 表示，近日發現有醫生因曾確診冠狀病毒病Covid-19，即使痊癒，亦會因爲Covid Antibody test (抗體測試)程陽性，而遭受拒絕申請購買人壽保險、收入保障保險 或 重病保險。大部分保險公司更要求申請人持續一至三個月無任何症狀，才會重新考慮或可能批准該申請。
大家都知道，在英國向銀行申請房屋貸款買房子，都必需購買人壽保險，以保障銀行借出的款項，即使貸款人突然死亡，也能收回餘款，所以沒有人壽保險就買不到房子。保險公司此舉動，令醫護在這時候遭受更大的壓力。
BMA表示正尋找解決方法，他們還批評保險公司無視醫護人員的專業，即使Covid Antibody test (抗體測試)程陽性，亦只能表示該醫護人員曾確診和痊癒獲得抗體，更不應被拒絕。
