政府頒令由6月15日開始，所有乘搭公共交通工具的乘客在月台或車廂內都必須戴上口罩。沒有戴口罩人士將會被票控罰款£1000。但其實當中有某類別的人可被豁免，不用戴口罩的：
- 11歲以下的兒童
- 倫敦鐵路的員工 或 向倫敦鐵路提供特定服務的人員
- 執行職務的警員（包括英國交通警察）
- 執行緊急服務的醫護 或 人員
此外假如在以下合理的情況下，可不用戴或除去口罩：
- 因身體殘障、殘疾 或 精神情緒受到嚴重困擾，而無法戴上或除去口罩，根據《 2010年平等法》第6條是可豁免被罰款
- 因同行人士需要依靠讀唇溝通，可拉下口罩
- 因有人嚴重受傷而口罩危害其生命，可除去口罩
- 如有人合理原因而必須飲食，該人可除下口罩
- 警員（包括英國交通警察）或其他已授權的人員要求你除去口罩
『免責卡』
該卡的主要設計概念是給身體有不明顯疾病的人使用，例如嚴重哮喘、嚴重抑鬱等情緒病，便合乎以上的豁免條件。當乘搭交通工具時，把打印的卡掛在衣服上 或 在手機內打開下圖顯示給職員知道便可以。
