暑假快要迫近，會不會想計劃到哪裡走走？但機場至現時仍一片混亂，特別是假期航班隨時因人手短缺而取消，如果去英國境內的城市，又不像旅遊。其實想到歐洲旅行不一定坐飛機，還有火車 Eurostar！

Eurostar可以由英國倫敦的火車站London st Pancras，直達幾個歐洲目的地：
- 法國的巴黎
- 法國的迪士尼
- 荷蘭的Amsterdam
- 比利時的Brussels
能讓你觀賞沿途美景的高速列車。它的最高時速為 300 公里（186 英里/小時）， 以倫敦去巴黎來說，全程最快2小時16分鐘，比去Newcastle還要快，不想花錢住酒店，可以即日往返。

Eurostar vs 飛機
Eurostar經常被人用來與飛機比較，個人認為，如果在倫敦生活又鍾情於巴黎的話，Eurostar的確較輕鬆和方便。我將兩邊作出以下比較，看你認不認同？
路程時間
- Eurostar
- 只需到 London St Panras 國際線火車站，全程最快2小時16分鐘，可直達法國巴黎的市中心。
- 飛機
- 雖然航班只需1小時20分鐘，但卻要額外花時間進出倫敦和巴黎的機場。
價錢（以6月中計算）
- Eurostar
- 由倫敦出發前往巴黎，Eurostar每程最便宜£39，來回£78。
- 行李不限重量（但長度不應超過85cm），亦無須額外收費。
- 機票（Easyjet）
- 來回價格只是£58，相信能找到更便宜的，
- 可惜廉航機票都不包任何行李，行李須要額外收費，大概每位的行李加£25-£35。
辦理登列車手續
- Eurostar
- 最早可在列車開出前的90分鐘 或 提前至少45-60分鐘，到達辦理出境手續。
- 飛機
- 前往歐洲的航班，最早可在航班起飛前的2小時 或 提前至少90分鐘，辦理Check In手續。
開通全新目的地
歐盟委員會批准了Eurostar 與另一間公司Thalys 合併，這表示將會有更多國家連接起來，令喜愛歐遊的朋友變得更輕鬆。
Thalys本身也是一家高速列車的運營商，目前提供路線有比利時、法國、德國和荷蘭，相信這次合併能有效地連接所有國家，對於現時無法直達德國的英國來說，絕對是好消息。
