政府終於就收緊旅客入境英國的檢疫措施發表細節，由2月15日星期一起，將有以下規定：
曾到訪或經過「Red list 紅色名單」國家的英國或北愛爾蘭的公民可入境，但必須在出發前安排好預約酒店事宜，在入境後入住和進行10天酒店隔離。整個服務收費每位£1750，這價錢的服務包括：10天食宿+冠狀病毒檢測+交通。
政府與16間酒店簽訂協議，提供總共4600個房間作此用途，預約酒店的網頁將在星期四開放使用，屆時便可知道協議的16間酒店的地點。這些隔離酒店是用作監督住客的舉動，為了安全，住客只可在監督的情況下運動或吸煙。
而其他不在「Red list」的國際城市（愛爾蘭除外），在入境英國時將會被要求預約核酸檢測，分別在第2日和第8日進行。
刑罰
為了阻嚇違規人士，英國政府加強刑罰：
- 入境者如未有遵守酒店隔離的規定，將會被票控最高罰款 £10,000。
- 旅客如未遵守入境後的兩次檢測，亦會被票控最高罰款 £1,000。
- 如入境者虛報資料，如曾到訪的國家，將會有最高刑罰，監禁10年。
