什麼是租屋權？
法例要求私人房東和代理人必須檢查所有租戶、房客和將居住在租屋中任何成年人的移民身份，又稱為Right to rent 租屋權。這項檢查必須在租約開始之前完成。租客必須提供相關證明文件證明自己有居住英國的權利。但這項法例不影響在威爾士、蘇格蘭或北愛爾蘭房東和租客。
什麼人能獲得租屋權？
任何人只要符合以下任何一項條件，你就擁有租屋權：
- 你是英國或愛爾蘭公民
- 你有永久居留許可 (ILR)
- 你有難民身份或受人道主義保護
- 你已根據歐盟定居計劃獲得定居或預定居民身份
- 你有英國合法逗留權利，例如，持工作或學生簽證
- 內政部已授予你限時租屋權
如何證明此權利？
如果你是英國或愛爾蘭公民
你可以通過出示以下任何一項文件來證明你在英國有租房的權利：
- 英國護照（當前或過期）
- 愛爾蘭護照或護照卡（當前或過期）
- 作為英國公民的註冊或入籍證明
如果你不是英國或愛爾蘭公民
你可以通過以下方式證明你在英國有租房的權利：
- Sharing code 共享代碼 – 可以按此線上申請共享代碼
- 相關有效移民證明文件
