近日，英國皇室為女皇陛下聘請Housekeeping assistant（家務助理），每星期的工作為40小時，但年薪僅£19,909，即表示每小時只有£7.97，這不是比起今年4月份剛增加的Living Wage少了£1.93。不是吧！女皇陛下出手都那麼低！這不是犯法的嗎？

這薪年沒有出錯，的確計算出來每小時只有£7.97，原因是這份工作是包食宿。基於員工無須自行支付租屋、水電媒開支、飲食的費用，所以並不存在Living Wage。
雖然住在工作的地方，但無需好像香港的工人姐姐般，一星期工作6天，隨傳隨到。你只需要跟隨輪班表來工作，每星期工作5天，每天不超過8小時的工作時間，工作期間還會提供合理的休息時間。
這份工將要求在Buckingham Palace 或 Windsor Castle 上班，因此你將會居住在這兩個地點的其中之一，有幸與英女皇同一屋簷下。
工作內容：
工作的內容就好像酒店的Housekeeping，主要為房間、客廳、飯廳、宴會廳等地方打掃和清潔的工作，當然皇室的標準和要求將比5星級酒店更高。雖然如此，但並招聘廣告中並未要求相關的工作經驗（當然有經驗者較有優勢），他們將安排正式培訓給初入職者。

相對起工作經驗，皇室較為著重求職者的性格，例如：細心、注重細節、有一絲不苟的工作態度、團體精神和時間管理，所以性格開朗樂觀的人士會較為適合。
