英國地方大，加上大部分人有自己的汽車，所以IKEA一直以貨倉(Warehouse) 形式開店，以方便顧客泊車購物。然而今年IKEA想打破常規，在倫敦的Hammersmith開設首間High Street 形式的分店，只須一程地鐵便能到IKEA購物，絕對是無車族的福祉！
下月開幕
2月24日英國首間High Street 形式的IKEA，將在倫敦Hammersmith的Kings Mall shopping Centre開幕，總面積佔4600平方，將會陳列4千件傢俬和貨品，有超過1800件存貨供顧客即日購買和帶走。
瑞典小食 Swedish deli
而最令人期待的是瑞典小食 – 熱狗、肉丸 和 北歐風味的食品，將可以在倫敦的市中心享用得到。
明年在Oxford Street 開設旗艦店
位於Oxford Street 原身Topshop的舖位，在去年結業後一直丟空，被有意發展high street形式商店的IKEA 看中，並以3.78億英鎊買入239,000 平方米的舖位，開設首間最大型的high street店作為英國的旗艦店，期待在明年2023年開幕。
