政府計劃延長英國退休年齡，哪方面影響到你？

全球退休年齡延後，英國政府亦考慮到人均壽命越來越長，計劃延長退休年齡！現時英國的國家退休年齡是66歲，政府計劃將退休年齡延後一年，有意在2028年前將退休年齡改為67歲。

退休年齡延長影響甚廣

退休年齡延長，老人家除了還要繼續工作至67歲外，領取國家退休金將會被延後多1年，此外還有一些福利和免費服務亦會在退休後才可享用。

免費乘搭巴士

在英格蘭，想享用免費乘搭巴士服務，必須到達退休年齡。假如退休年齡由66歲延長1年的話，老人家將要在67歲才可享用免費搭巴士。

不過假如你是居住在蘇格蘭和威爾斯，則仍可在60歲起，開始享用免費搭巴士的老人優惠。

Pension Credit

跟香港的『長者生活津貼』類似，幫助低收入的老人家在生活上的開支。當收入少於每星期 £173.75（單身）或 £265.20（夫婦）的退休人士便可申請。而Pension Credit同時連結著其他補貼和福利：

• 租金補貼
• Council Tax 減免
• 減低房屋貸款的利息
• NHS免費牙醫服務、配眼鏡和前往醫院的交通費
• 暖氣費用上的補貼

因此退休年齡延遲，令長者更遲享用這些福利。

NHS免費領藥服務

現時全英國60歲以上的老人家，可免費領取藥物。早前，有議員在國會上質詢，指現時國家退休年齡已延長至66歲，認為60歲免費領藥的年齡開始與社會『脫節』，既然老人家在60後仍然繼續工作，是絕對有能力承擔藥費，所以有必要把NHS免費領取藥物的年齡睇齊，改為66歲，以減低NHS和政府的經濟負擔？！

2022年NHS的領藥費用，每種藥物每份£9.35， 假如改為66歲，將會對大多數需要定期食藥的長者帶來沉重的負擔和經濟壓力。

Prescription prepayment certificate 藥物預繳卡

假如免費領藥的服務由60歲提高至66歲，而各下又需要定期領取多種藥物，可向NHS 申請 Prescription prepayment certificate 藥物預繳卡。

這分為兩種：

• 3個月 – £30.25
• 12個月 – £108.10
