由2016年起興建，原意在2018年落地和啟用的全新鐵路Crossrail -『Elizabeth line』，終於快將啟用！

倫敦鐵路局宣佈該鐵路線將會在今年2022年的被正式啟用，該線路能連接倫敦的東、西兩面。更為 Abbey wood 至 Paddington 之間的10個主要鐵路站增加轉車點，來直達機場，非常方便。

邀請過千人試搭，望更快落實啟用的時間

官方公佈，以現階段的進度6月前其中一些車站將可以正式被使用，而完全開放路線仍需要等待到今年年尾。

今個月的13日，Elizabeth line的鐵路員就揀選並邀請6批自願者（每批1至2千人），參加6次大型的測試，讓啟動時間可以更快落實。

路線規劃

新鐵路線橫跨倫敦的東、西兩面
連接 Paddington, Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon 和 Liverpool Street 這些主要鐵路站

英女皇的名字 – Elizabeth

這鐵路線以英女皇的名字Elizabeth來命名，並選用高貴的紫色作為主色。全新的電子顯示螢幕配合紫色燈箱，尤如進入太空時代。

原本在2018年的鐵路線啟動典禮安排了英女皇參加，可惜一直被延遲啟用。期望今年內，能看見英女皇為自己名字命名的鐵路線舉行開幕儀式！
