英國進入通賬的高峰，能源和汽油價格飆升、超級市場平均升幅達50%。市民面對這樣的升幅，財政大臣的預算報告亦面臨著巨大的壓力，一方面要舒緩通賬壓力，另一方面要收回這兩年抗疫上花費的資金。
3月23日英國的財政大臣宣佈2022年首季的預算報告，讓我在這裡簡單地總結一下春季預算報告的內容：
Fuel duty cut 減低汽油稅
汽油稅將會每一公升減5p。
由即日起（3月23日）至23年3月期間，降低 petrol 汽油 and diesel 柴油的稅項，每1公升的汽油獲減5p。以現時全國平均的汽油價格167p（1公升）來計算，市民將可以在今年節省£360。
National Insurance 國民保險門檻提升
NI contributions 國民保險供款的門檻將由£9,880上升至£12,570，由7月起實施。
為了讓低收入人士有更多工資進口袋裡，由7月起將國民保險供款（NI contributions）門檻提升至£12,570，即表示收入低於£12,570的人士，無須支付NI contributions。與個人免稅額（入息稅）的水平相同。
Income tax cut 調低入息稅
在2024年起，入息稅將由20% 降至 19%。
這是一項長期的計劃，因此最快要等到隔年的財政年度 – 即是2024年4月起，方案才會被正式啟動。計劃入息稅由現時的20% 降低至 19%，估計全國有3千萬人受惠，平均每人獲£175進口袋裡。
0% VAT 增值稅全免
Heat pump 熱水爐、insulation 隔熱層、solar panels 太陽能電板 免增值稅。
為了提高市民節約能源 和 鼓勵他們更換或加裝節能產品。由2022年4月起，安裝熱水爐、隔熱層、太陽能電板的節能產品，可減免全數5%的增值稅。
Cost of Living 生活水平
提高 National Living Wage 以應付通賬。由4月起，National Living Wage 由 £8.91 升至 £9.50 。
英國除了 National Minimum Wage 國家最低工資 ，還有 National Living Wage 國民生活水平工資。National Minimum Wage 以年齡來計算相應的時薪工資，適用於25歲以下的僱員。而National Living Wage 是以生活水平的標準來計算，只要是超過23歲以上的僱員，都可以獲得至少這個水平的工資。
