在上月，有研究所發表英國住院的Covid-19病人，有80%是缺乏維他命D，認為維生素D有效對抗病毒。衛生局長Matt Hancock 表示已提議政府科學家重點研究維生素D對Covid-19病毒的反應。

在過去一星期不斷傳出不少充滿希望的消息，首先政府計劃向居家老人和被照顧人士派發維他命丸。同時，Queen Mary University of London的科學家已經開始進行一項試驗，調查人體內攝取的營養成分增加是否可以防疫。

另外，有新證據顯示維生素D可以提高免疫系統，服用維生素D的人，呼吸道感染疾病的機會較少。不僅能預防感染疾病，在上星期有研究所對86名濕疹幼兒進行研究，發現服用維生素D三個月後，皮膚狀況有所改善，結果報告刊登於『the journal Pharmacology Research & Perspectives』雜誌。

除此之外，維生素D還有助於調節人體內的鈣和磷酸鹽含量，能保持骨骼，牙齒和肌肉健康。 但可惜居住在長期缺乏太陽的英國，所以有一半的人口都是缺乏維生素D。

除了晒太陽外，還有什麼可補充維生素D？

食用含維生素D的食物

  • 魚類 – 三文魚(salmon)、沙丁魚(sardines)、鯡魚(herring) 和鯖魚(mackerel)
  • 紅肉
  • 肝臟
  • 蛋黃
  • 強化食品–例如：一些含脂肪的醬料和早餐穀物

維他命D丸

  • Morrisosns £3/90粒

最直接的當然是食維他命D丸，價錢便宜，而且保證每天吸收到足夠分量的維生素。根據NHS對不同年齡的人作出吸取維他命D的指引：

年齡：分量（每人每日）：
1歲或以下8.5 至10 微克（MCG）
1歲以上和成年人10微克（MCG）

購買時，包裝上一般以IU作為單位，所以你需要揀選400 IU或以上的維他命D丸才足夠成人所而（1微克（MCG）相等於 40 IU）。但小心注意，每人每日不應吸取超過100微克（MCG）＝4000IU的維生素D，由於在食物中亦含有不少維生素D，所以選擇400-800 IU的維他命D丸便足夠 。

維他命D軟糖

  • Holland & Barrett £5.24/30粒

專為3歲以上的小孩而設的維他命軟糖，就好像一般果汁軟糖，容易入口。

Dissolvable tablet 可溶性片劑

  • Superdrug £3.65/20粒
  • Holland & Barrett £5.49/ 20粒

維他命D可溶性片劑放入水中飲用，比起藥丸較易吸收，較適合病人或老人家。

D Drops

  • 1歲以上，Boots £10
  • 1歲以下，Boots £10

液體維他命劑，主要用在3歲以下的幼兒。在餵哺母乳時可加在乳頭上或加在配方奶中給嬰兒服用。

Mouth spray 口腔噴霧

Boots, £7/15ml

2019年推出的營養口腔噴劑，會迅速進入口腔中的血液，從而達到最佳的吸收效果，每1噴含1000IU（相等25微克）。
