英格蘭終於跟隨蘇格蘭和其他120個國家的步伐，宣佈由7月24日起，所有進入商店買顧客必須戴上口罩，商店員工除外。拒絕戴口罩除了不能進入店內，亦有可能被票控，14天內交罰款£50或最高罰款£100。
跟乘搭交通工具一樣，某類別的人可被豁免，不用戴口罩的：
- 11歲以下的兒童
- 商店員工
- 執行職務的警員
- 執行緊急服務的醫護 或 人員
此外假如在以下合理的情況下，可不用戴或除去口罩：
- 因身體殘障、殘疾 或 精神情緒受到嚴重困擾，而無法戴上或除去口罩，根據《 2010年平等法》第6條是可豁免被罰款
- 因同行人士需要依靠讀唇溝通，可拉下口罩
- 因有人嚴重受傷而口罩危害其生命，可除去口罩
- 如有人合理原因而必須飲食，該人可除下口罩
- 警員或其他已授權的人員要求你除去口罩
