英國冬天要來臨，車玻璃隨時因半夜溫度變得很低而結冰，但卻趕著出門送小孩上學、自己又要上班，怎麼辦？
千萬不要用熱水溶雪，這樣做很可能令車玻璃爆裂！
很多人為了快捷地溶雪，便直接向車玻璃淋上熱水，玻璃會因為突然間的溫度轉變，令玻璃快速的膨脹和收縮，造成爆裂。
那麼溫水可以嗎？事實上對玻璃還是有壞的影響，因為溫度私反差對玻璃有一定程度的傷害，這種情況仍有超過5分1的機會，會造成細小的爆裂情況。此外，如戶外的溫度在零下以下，溫水比冷水更容易結冰。這時候將溫水灑在玻璃上，反而造成多一層冰塊。
車玻璃結冰，應該怎樣做才對？
首先，先講講有什麼工具需要準備（大家可因應不同的需要來準備）：
Ice Scraper 刮冰刀
Windscreen covers frost 汽車玻璃擋雪霜保護罩
Soft Brush 軟毛掃
De-icer 溶雪劑
解決方法
- 使用汽車玻璃擋雪霜保護罩
- 在前一晚，可預先將擋雪霜的保護罩套上，以防半夜下雪或結霜
- 如使用了擋雪霜保護罩，只需預早5分鐘出門，開動引擎暖車便可
- 不想花錢買保護罩，可使用舊的大毛巾或毛毯代替。（必須綁好，以防半夜吹走）
- 但由於毛巾/毛毯不防水，可能會發現仍有少許冰/霜在玻璃上，你可以噴上溶雪劑（De-icer）解決
- 沒有使用擋雪霜保護罩
- 這樣經過一個夜晚，車玻璃已結滿霜/雪
- 需提前至少15分鐘出門
- 先開動引擎暖車（記謹關掉水撥，因為在雪霜上磨擦會很容易弄壞水撥）
- 假如有厚厚的積雪，需先用軟掃掃走
- 用刮冰刀，刮走玻璃上的霜（可以稍為用力地刮，不用怕刮花的）
- 如遇上很難刮走的冰，可使用De-icer溶雪劑。溶雪劑需要時間溶解冰塊，噴上後請耐心等待
- 不是雪霜，而是結冰
- 假如前一晚曾下雨，半夜的溫度會令玻璃結成一層冰
- 先開動引擎暖車（記謹關掉水撥，因為在冰上磨擦會很容易弄壞水撥）
- 直接噴上溶雪劑（De-icer）
- 耐心等待5-10分鐘，然後用水潑潑走已溶化的冰塊
- 坊間傳聞 – 白醋/酒精＋水（未經證實）
- 將白醋或酒精以1:2分量加入水，噴在玻璃上
- 預先在前一晚噴上，隔天就不會結冰
- Emily從未試過，因此未知是否有用
注意事項
很多人為了節省時間，把車引擎開著後返回屋內做其他事情，這樣做很可能成為賊人的目標。
過往曾發生一宗偷車事件，一名媽媽因車結冰而早早把車引擎開著，一邊等著車變暖，一邊將小孩和攜帶的東西放上車，賊人只剛好路過就看上了。幸好，賊人剛開走車輛不久便發現原來車上有名小孩，所以決定棄車逃跑，媽媽得以找回孩子。
所以各位記得在暖車時，必須將車門鎖上，才回屋裡，否則保險公司對於這類型的意外失車，可以不受理！
