2024年2月1日起，英國的英格蘭和威爾斯地區將正式列大型惡霸犬（XL Bully）為具危險性的犬隻之一。任何人士為大型惡霸犬進行配種、出售、交換、打廣告、贈送、遺棄、重新安置，將實屬違法。
大型惡霸犬（XL Bully）
大型惡霸犬是來自美國的大型狗隻，是狗隻品種中體型最大的。去年在英國有多宗涉及大型惡霸犬襲擊人類的事件發生，最年輕的受害者只有11歲。
如你目前擁有由大型惡霸犬混種而成或看起來相似的狗，可先到政府網站查看了解大型惡霸犬的標準來進行評估。基本可以從量度狗隻高度來決定是否屬於大型惡霸犬，不高於馬的肩隆位置不屬於大型惡霸犬（**當然還須根據其餘規範對狗隻進行評估）
已註冊的大型惡霸犬
如在2月1日前已向政府申請豁免，將可繼續飼養，但需要遵守以下規定：
- 已植入晶片並絕育（在規定的截止日期前）
- 狗隻在公共場合（包括在汽車內）散步時，必須用上狗帶和繩並戴上口套。
- 確保狗隻存放在無法逃脫的地方
- 為狗隻購買了第三方公共責任保險
- 必須年滿 16 歲才可飼養大型惡霸犬。
仍未註冊的大型惡霸犬
由於申請政府豁免計畫的截止日期現已結束，如仍未申請的狗隻，將要被警方扣押和圈養。 你將必須通過法庭漫長的評估程序來獲得豁免。
