Ofgem早前宣佈，由10月1日起能源價格上限再次提升，升幅超過80%（關於10月份能源加價），人心惶惶，商店、餐廳、咖啡店等收到巨額能源賬單，因無力支付而只好倒閉。連鎖式的店舖、酒吧，甚至私人學院的能源費用，可高達£2千多萬（比六合彩頭獎還要多）！因此新任的英國首相Liz Truss在競選首相一職時，曾向承諾市民，上任後率會先解決能源問題。
在星期二正式上任的她，沒有忘記承諾，並在今日9月8日星期四宣佈全新的能源計劃，來保障市民能渡過即將來臨的冬天。來看看這個計劃如何受惠市民？
全新的能源計劃
從10月1日起，在未來的兩年內，每年每戶家庭的能源價格上限將被凍結在£2500， 每戶可會折省£1000一年。同時在5月時推出的能源資助計劃（相關的詳情） ，仍會維持，每戶至少可獲共£400的折扣，分為6個月轉賬至市民的能源賬單戶口中。
Fixed rate 的用戶
假如你有先見之明，在10月份加價前已簽約成為fixed rate（固定收費利率）用戶，但卻因為全新能源計劃弄得反而更貴的話，怎麼辦？雖然首相在會議上沒有提及fixed rate用戶，但全新能源計劃已表明能源價格上限會被凍結在£2500，相信能源公司將明白並跟隨政府的政策來實行，fixed rate用戶可獲跟隨最新的價格上限。
如剛簽約的你，可根據英國法例，購買或簽約14日內取消合約而無須支付罰款或行政費用。
